Room Hire

Newton Abbot Town Council offers three rooms for hire at Newton’s Place, suitable for meetings, workshops, and community events. Rooms are available Monday to Friday. All bookings must include time for setting up and packing away.

Available Rooms

The Ditchburn Room

Our smallest room, ideal for board-style meetings for up to 10 people.

The Rowell Room

A flexible space with several layout options. Holds up to 40 people, depending on arrangement.

St. Leonard’s Room

Our largest room, suitable for up to 60 people depending on layout.

The Rowell and St. Leonard’s Rooms can be combined into one large space by removing a dividing wall.

Hire prices

Monday - Thursday (9:00am – 5:00pm) - Friday - (9.00 am - 4.30 pm)

Individuals / Commercial: £25 per hour or £150 per day
Youth groups (U16), Newton Abbot community groups, and registered charities: £10 per hour or £80 per day

Mon - Thur (5:00pm – 8:30pm) - Friday (4.30 p.m. - 8.30 p.m.)

Standard rate: £80

Facilities and accessibility

No kitchen facilities, but two drinks machines are available (£1 per drink; coins only, no change given)
Lift access to all floors, including meeting rooms on the 2nd floor and the Museum on the 1st floor
Disabled toilets on both 1st and 2nd floors
Hearing loop system available in all rooms
Evacuation chair located in the Ditchburn Room
