Council meetings and committee information

The Council appoints a number of committees to carry out its responsibilities and make decisions within approved budgets and policies. These committees report to the Full Council and help ensure the smooth running of Council business.

Full Council meets every six weeks at 7:00pm in the St Leonard’s Room at Newton’s Place. The Planning Committee meets every three weeks on a Tuesday at 2:00pm.

The Council has four main committees with delegated authority:

• Finance & Audit Committee
• Community & Heritage Committee
• Policy & Resources Committee
• Planning Committee

All meetings are open to the public, with time set aside for public participation. Residents are welcome to ask questions or make statements related to items on the agenda.
