Newton Abbot Museum is a vibrant space celebrating the town’s rich history and the lives of its people. Located in the beautifully restored Newton’s Place building, the museum brings together centuries of local heritage through interactive displays, fascinating objects, and community-led exhibits.
From working railway signals to mysterious Bronze Age finds, the collection offers something for all ages. With hands-on activities, digital archives, and creative displays, the museum is designed to educate, inspire and entertain.
The museum is also part of Newton’s Place – a community hub created with the help of the National Lottery Heritage Fund and the people of Newton Abbot.
