The Minutes of the Meeting of the Planning Committee held on 12th February 2008 were received and signed as a correct record, subject to the following:-
Minute 436. STRATEGIC HOUSING LAND AVAILABILITY ASSESSMENT - The Chairman reported that he had hoped to submit his draft response to a Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment and had been working though on behalf of the Committee to this meeting of the Committee for consideration. He had however not been able to complete the task in time. It was noted the Council was required to respond by 4th April. Members agreed to collaborate with the Chairman on the response before the due date.

463. APPLICATIONS IN NEIGHBOURING PARISHES.
(1) The Committee noted Application No. 08/00566/MAJ – Land at Teign View Barn, Shaldon Road, Newton Abbot – Change of use from agricultural land to holiday use (Use Class C3) and including siting of 15 holiday lodges for Mr D. Chandler had been withdrawn.
(2) The Committee gave consideration to Application No.08/00985/MAJ – Field O.S. 5915 Long Lane – for the continuation of temporary use of land as a playing field for Teignbridge District Council which was in the Haccombe with Coombe Parish.
The Planning Authority be informed that the Town Council supported the continued use of this land for recreational purposes for in excess of two years.
