LANTERN PARADE EVENT LIGHTS UP THE STREETS OF NEWTON ABBOT Newton Abbot town centre was bursting with excitement on Wednesday 14th December thanks to the lantern parade in the town. Approx. 200 pupils from Bearnes, Wolborough, All Saints, Decoy, Bradley Barton, Haytor View, Highweek & St Joseph’s Primary Schools took pride in parading their colourful Christmas lanterns through the streets of Newton Abbot towards the Clock Tower. The theme this year was ‘A Child is Born’ and the lanterns varied from goats and camels, kings and angels, soldiers and stars, chickens and sheep and much more. A big thank you to local artist Tony Gee and other members of the Creation Myth Puppets who were able to make this fantastic event possible once again, working in partnership with Newton Abbot Town Council....
