Newton Abbot Museum opened with a new exhibition -‘Chemistry & Photography’ The story of the Bibbings Family
The display includes a selection of artistic black and white photographs by Vincent Bibbings. These photographs were rescued from a skip in pouring rain five years ago.
Many more photographs are available to see on digital screen. The photographs have already provoked many reminiscences from visitors; we are keen to hear your memories of Bibbings the Chemist and the town.
Along with the Bibbings exhibition is a complimentary exhibition of ‘Then & Now’ photographs of the town, compiled by Mike and Ann Sabel. (Museum volunteers) Both displays will, we are sure, stir the memories of Newton folk.
Come in and share your recollections of Bibbings and the town as you knew it.
Admission to the Museum is free, and a warm welcome awaits you.
Opening times: Monday-Thursday: 10:00-4:00
