Further to minute 88/06/10 the Town Clerk reported that application reference DCC/3075/2010 for Cycle Route 9 (Teign Estuary Cycleway/Walkway Section 1) between Greenhill Way, Kingsteignton and Town Quay, Newton Abbot, with links to Passage House Inn and Woodmere Way - Construction of 2.3km of footway/cycleway comprising a combination of metalled surface and timber boardwalk on land north of the River Teign; together with construction of a cable stayed foot/cycle bridge across the River Teign at Town Quay linking with Forde Road in the Brunel Industrial Estate, Newton Abbot for Devon County Council, had been withdrawn (TDC Application No.10/01836/DCR3).
The Committee was informed that it had been decided that the Greenhill Way to Passage House section did not need planning permission and work should therefore start much earlier.
