22. ELECTION OF CHAIRMAN OF THE PLANNING COMMITTEE 2010/11

Nominations were received for the election of the Chairman of the Planning Committee for the year 2010/2011.

Accordingly it was 

RESOLVED that Councillor Keith Smith be elected as Chairman of the Planning Committee for the year 2010/11.

23. APOLOGIES

Apologies for absence were received on behalf of Councillors D Corney-Walker, Mrs L Lowes and Mrs D Watts and from Mr Eric Collar – Tree Warden.

24. APPOINTMENT OF VICE-CHAIRMAN OF THE PLANNING COMMITTEE 2010/11

Nominations were received for the appointment of the Vice-Chairman of the Planning Committee for the year 2010/2011.

Accordingly it was 

RESOLVED that Councillor Ken Purchase be appointed Vice-Chairman of the Planning Committee for the year 2010/2011.

25. MINUTES

The minutes of the meeting of the Planning Committee held on 27th April 2010 were received and signed as a correct record.

Arising from a question raised at a previous meeting, the Town Clerk circulated a communication from the District Council to the Tree Warden, Mr Eric Collar, setting out clarification regarding Section 215 Notices in relation to trees and Tree Preservation Orders.
